The Interactivist Network has not been active for some time.A few of our projects have fallen off the internet. Some have lived on, or been reborn. Some of our work continues within other organizations. But we have not done work under the Interactivist banner in some time.
We are reviving this site to serve as a document of the work we did in the late 1990s through the late 2000s. (February 2021).
Dear Mr. Stoller,
We write in response to your letter dated August 31, 2004 in regard to a domain-name dispute.
Steal This Email dot com provides free services for community groups and their members. It is managed by an all-volunteer collective. No products are sold nor services offered under the "stealth" mark or name.
The proper way to read our domain name is Steal This Email dot com... the fact that the word "stealth" appears, as you believe, in the url is simply your misreading. We do not believe that our use of the term "Steal this Email" as tribute to Abbie Hoffman (as well as the defunct Lower East Side pirate radio station "Steal This Radio") is in any way an infringement on your alleged ownership of the word "stealth".
